FRIDA TRILOGY

I’ve always had a fascination with Frida Kahlo, her life, and her work. This trilogy of A5 brush ink pen drawings are renderings of some of her most enduring photographs. Prints are available HERE.

I started creating line drawings of people from behind and was intrigued by the intimacy conveyed, both of the moment in time and between the subjects. It’s been a lovely project capturing these moments, and I have used many of my own family photographs as the reference points.
